Instructions for upgrade

To request the version upgrade, you will need your registration number and your access key (sent in the registration form). If you don't remember one or another, write us now and we'll send them right away. During this process, please take the opportunity to update your electronic address, if it is the case.

Complete procedure:
1. Download the new version and install it.
From our page "Download", get the "Full Pack". Then, run the installation program in your computer and "Extract" all files. Important: do not select the same folder used for version 1.1, specially if you have modified the catalog of chord types and fingerings (in this case, you should later copy the corresponding files to the "new" folder, in order to make them available for version 2, as well). At the end of the extraction, Decifra will be automatically invoked.

2. Identify the computer code
While not authorized, Decifra (Decifra2E.exe) automatically invokes the window where you can "Identify" the computer code and later "Submit" your password. If necessary, this window can be called with the menu function Registration.

3. Send us the new code, using the our Internet page "Your Record"
Dont sent it by e-mail and never use the Registration page for that, as this would create a new record. As proceedings are different, everyone who paid outside Brazil shall access our databank through the English page (Your Record), and never through the Brazilian one (Cadastro), even if preferring Portuguese or using Decifra in Portuguese. Otherwise, use the page in Portuguese, instead. In any case, select the "..Upgrade.." option as the "Objective" of the new code.

4. Payment is not usually due here, but...
If your original payment was done in Brazil, then you will receive payment instructions. In this case, please send us a notice after completing your payment, using the same page (Cadastro), as this will probably make things faster.

5. Wait for an e-mail with your password and submit it.
As in version 1, when the correct password is submitted, the demonstration message will be substituted by a figure. Also, the "Registration" function will no longer be visible. And, naturally, the program will be ready for you. Enjoy it.
